!? hidden shoes

Today I study interior design on one Spanish website of design called "Dario Design".
It features one Japanese restaurant in Barcelona.

 It looks really weard for the native Japanese　(i.e. me) because shoos are stuck on the wall!
But it's really interesting idea.

Interestingly again, only people who know Japanese culture deeply can recognize such wit.
Because for people who don't know about Japanese life style that much can't recognize this wooden boaｒd with two strings as shoes!
